Do ZANGADO
Dancer / Dj / Singer
Born in Luanda, the capital of Angola, Do Zangado, also known as Fabricio, is a talented and multifaceted artist. Respected for his humility and unifying spirit, he is highly appreciated in the artistic community.
Since childhood, he has been part of dance and singing groups in Luanda. In 2001, after immigrating to France, his passion for music and dance only grew stronger. In 2004, with friends, he founded the dance group B-Crew, specializing in Dancehall and Hip-Hop. They performed in community centers and on various stages in Brittany, particularly in Rennes. Alongside dancing, he began composing and producing his own music while collaborating with the group Mabé Prod as a rapper. He also participated in numerous dance battles and appeared on several local mixtapes.Later, he became a dancer, choreographer, and composer for the artist Makassy, with whom he toured throughout France and neighboring countries for several years. He also collaborated with artists such as Jessy Matador, Benji, Neg Marron, as well as other well-known figures in French music.
In 2009, he accidentally discovered events dedicated to Kizomba, a dance originating from his home country, and decided to fully commit to it. By 2010, he had become a key figure in the Kizomba scene in western France, particularly in Brittany and the Loire-Atlantique region, as an organizer and teacher.
In 2012, his fame reached an international level when he posted a demonstration video of Semba, dancing to a fast Kizomba song by Eduardo Paim, alongside his then-partner, Sabrina. This success propelled him to the top of the dance world. At that time, he decided to adopt the name Do Zangado to honor one of the most iconic figures in Angolan dance, Mateus Pèle Do Zangado, who was born in the same neighborhood, Zangado, and passed away the same year.
In addition to his activities as a dancer, teacher, and organizer, he also stands out as a DJ, becoming one of the best in his field.
Excelling as both a DJ and producer, and being among the top dancers in Kizomba, Semba, and Afro styles, Do Zangado now travels the world to share his passion at major international festivals. These travels not only allow him to work but also to discover new cultures.
